A Wedding at the Castle
The Castle offers four main rooms for use in corporate and wedding events: The Saloon, The Library, The Music Room and The Dining Room.
All the Castle's conference and dining rooms are located on the ground floor and are accessible to wheelchairs.
There are toilets available on the ground and first floors. All public rooms have natural light.
Two rooms, the Library and the Smoking Room have easy access to the outside.
These provide access is to the East and South Lawns which have room for hundreds of guests for photography.
These Lawns are also used to locate marquees, if required to meet client needs.
There are numerous fire exits throughout the Castle.
The Saloon
The Saloon is a magnificent vaulted ceiling, ground floor room situated in the centre of the Castle. The most significant feature of the Saloon
is the 15.24 metre ceiling height, reaching towards a vaulted ceiling with considerable natural light. The room is 12.9m x 6.08m internal dimensions,
excluding the corridor to the west side which abuts the Oak Staircase to the Upper Gallery. The Saloon is reached from the Entrance Hall of
internal dimensions 7.8m x 1.87m and which has a ceiling height of 5.0m. The doorway from the Entrance Hall to the Saloon is a double door of usable width 1.8m.
These Hall dimensions exclude the side areas which are often used for cloakroom and reception duties. The Saloon has a working fireplace.
There are doorways from the Saloon to the Main Library and the Drawing Room and from the Entrance Hall to the North Library.
All these doorways have a usable width of 1.0m. There are several 13amp ring main outlets throughout these areas, including one located

The Library
The Main Library is reached from the Saloon, and the North Library can be reached from the Entrance Hall. These rooms have a ceiling height
of 5m. The North Library is 8.4m wide x 6.3m long. The North Library is 6.4m wide x 13.9m long. These two rooms are usually considered as one, being
joined by a double-columned area of 1.45m wide. There is a working fireplace in the Main Library. There is a doorway from the Main Library to the Music Room
of usable width 1.0m. This doorway is partly hidden by being constructed of library bookshelves, which open to reveal the Music Room beyond.
The Library is used for dining duties, and can be extended in capacity by including the North Library area and the Music Room for dining.
There are three exits to other parts of the Castle and also a fire exit through multiple doors to the outside in the East facade.
This east facing wall also offers much natural light. The North Library has two north facing windows. There are several

The Music Room
The Music Room is reached from the Main Library, and is a very bright room with much natural light. It is double aspect with views to the East and South.
The room is 7.29m x 5.8m and has a ceiling height of 5.0m. There is a double doorway of 2.0m usable width to the Drawing Room. There are several 13amp ring main

The Dining Room
The Dining Room is reached from the Saloon with natural light from its west facing windows.
The room is 11.3m x 5.5m and has a ceiling height of 5.0m. There is a doorway of 1.0m usable width to the Saloon. There are several 13amp ring main

The Drawing Room and Smoking Room
The Drawing Room and Smoking Room are reached from the Music Room and also from the Saloon. They are very bright south facing rooms with much natural light.
