Coach Driver Information
To reach Highclere Castle please follow the brown tourist signs from the A34. Do not use a sat nav as you are taken into the village of Highclere rather than to the front gates.
The A34 runs south from Oxford towards Southampton and the turning to Highclere is called “Tothill Services.” Travelling toward the North the turning is clearly signposted to Highclere Castle.
Please follow the sign within the Park and you will enter the Lodge Gates by the Castle. Having driven carefully through, a Highclere Guide will meet your coach at the front door to explain to your customers essential information. We then ask the coaches to reverse and return to the coach hard standing by the Lodge.
Coach driver benefits
The coach driver will be given free admission and a refreshment voucher.
Wheelchairs
Wheelchairs can access the State rooms on ground floor of the Castle and the Egyptian Exhibition. (The latter from the courtyard.) Motorised wheelchairs are not permitted in the Castle.
Photographic Policy
No photography is permitted within the Castle and we ask that photography in the Gardens is for personal use only.
