Dec 6th - 7th: Highclere Christmas Fair

Thursday, December 7, 2017

Book now

The Earl and Countess of Carnarvon will transform the State Rooms of Highclere Castle to provide a unique shopping experience in aid of Thames Valley Air Ambulance and St Michaels & All Angels Church. This will be a festive occasion with our spectacular Christmas tree, carol singers, Christmas decorations and a variety of exciting stalls at which you can complete your Christmas shopping.

For those who wish to see a little more of the Castle there is the option to upgrade your tickets on the day. A suggested donation of £3 to the Thames Valley Air Ambulance will allow you to view the magnificent Galleried Bedrooms. You may also upgrade your ticket for an additional £5 to explore the ‘Wonderful Things’ Egyptian Exhibition housed in the cellars of the Castle.

The Fair will begin at 9.30am with last admission at 2.30pm. The Estate will then close at 4.30pm. Tickets will be split into AM and PM admission. Morning ticket holders must enter the Castle and Fair between 9.30am and 12noon. Afternoon tickets holders must enter the Castle and Fair between 12noon and 2.30pm. There is no obligation to leave until we close in the afternoon. However, this does allow the event to be less crowded.

Guests are welcome to enjoy the tearooms on their arrival for a selection of hot and cold beverages. There will be a selection of foods available for lunch, including homemade soup made in the Castle kitchens. Last admission in the afternoon will be 2.30pm and the Fair will close for the day at 4.30pm.
