'Script to Screen' Tours, Talks and Tea: 17th to 23rd May
Thank you to our speakers and guests for taking part in a special week.
From the lectures, to the Guided Tours, light lunch, and then garden tours it was a different way to experience Highclere.
Highclere's famous azaleas were covered in colour and scent stretching across the Lawns in front of the folly, "Jackdaws Castle", whilst the cherry trees and herbaceous borders heralded the promise of Spring and summer.
As well as sharing an opportunity to enjoy the Gardens, "Script to Screen" explored how books and scripts are transformed into the successful television shows and films that we all love.
Lady Carnarvon is delighted to share the legacy and joy of books as well as through the tour, the especial pleasure that Downton Abbey gave so many viewers around the world.
With fascinating speakers, from the world of scripts - Nigel McCrery, to Debbie Horsfield, Shrabani Basu, to actors such as Sarah Parish, Adrian Lukis we are most grateful for their time .
Highclere Castle has been the location for a number of films and TV shows, and recognises teh amoount of work "behind the scenes".
