It's a wrap!

"Downton Abbey" cast and crew finish filming at Highclere Castle, which reopens to the public this week.

It has been nearly three years since Downton Abbey’s final television episode aired, capturing over 10 million of us each week, but whilst it left our screens, it never left our hearts.

The Earl and Countess of Carnarvon were delighted to welcome back old friends Hugh Bonneville, Maggie Smith, Michelle Dockery, Elizabeth McGovern, Jim Carter and Phyllis Logan to tread the Castle boards.

Filming is now complete at the Castle and we reopen to the public on 8th July.  You can see our events and purchase tickets here.

The Countess of Carnarvon said “We were delighted to welcome Downton back to Highclere again. Julian and the wonderful cast and crew of Downton have been fantastic to work with and we look forward to seeing all the shots come together on the big screen.”

The film will debut in the U.K. on 13th September through Universal Pictures International, with Focus Features launching it in North America a week later on 20th September.
