Planning your visit 2022

We are delighted to now be able to welcome visitors inside the castle for a variety of tours, the details of which can be found on the events page

From our Special Wintertime Tours, to Valentines Castle Tour and Afternoon Tea, Springtime Guided Tours, and a week of our brilliant Living in a Castle event in May 2022 we hope there might be something you might enjoy.

In order to manage numbers and with visitors' safety in mind, it is essential to book prior to arriving at the Castle. Please do see the ticket page for details and to pre book.

If you have booked tickets and would like to reserve a manual wheelchair, please do email [email protected]. Pushchairs for babies and toddlers are most useful for the gardens and may be left at the entrance hall whilst you tour the Castle at which point, we would ask you to carry or hold fast to small childrens' hands! Again this year, neither dogs nor picnics are permitted in the gardens (guide dogs excepted).
